What It Is
Gravity SMTP is a WordPress plugin from Rocketgenius, the team behind Gravity Forms and Gravity Flow, that helps you reliably send and track outgoing emails from your WordPress website.
By default, WordPress sends email using the PHP mail function, which lacks proper authentication and can result in messages being flagged as spam or going undelivered. Gravity SMTP solves this by routing all outgoing email through a dedicated email delivery service of your choice.
Gravity SMTP works for all emails sent from your WordPress site, including user registrations, password resets, form notifications, and messages from other plugins. It is not limited to Gravity Forms notifications.
Gravity SMTP supports direct API integrations with a wide range of popular email delivery services, including SendGrid, Mailgun, Postmark, Brevo, Google, and Microsoft, as well as a custom SMTP option for connecting to any standard SMTP-enabled server.
The plugin also includes detailed email logging and reporting, allowing you to monitor delivery status, sender and recipient addresses, date and time sent, and more, all from within your WordPress dashboard.
What It Isn’t
Gravity SMTP is not an email marketing platform. It is designed for transactional email delivery, not bulk campaigns or newsletters.
Gravity SMTP is not an email hosting service. You will need an account with a supported email delivery service to use it.
Gravity SMTP does not require Gravity Forms to be installed on your site, but it does require an active qualifying Gravity Forms license.
