Overview
Gravity SMTP relies on WP-Cron, the event scheduler included with WordPress, to power certain time-based features. The Email Activity Digest and Alerts features both depend on WP-Cron to run on their configured schedules.
If these features are not firing as expected, the cause is most likely related to how WP-Cron is configured on your site rather than Gravity SMTP itself. WP-Cron does not run on a fixed schedule. It is triggered by site visits, which means scheduled tasks can be delayed or missed on low-traffic sites.
