Obtaining your Emailit API Key

Introduction

To enable Gravity SMTP to send messages via your Emailit account, you must provide the plugin with an Emailit API key. This step must be completed before configuring the Emailit Integration in Gravity SMTP.

This article outlines the steps to generate a new API key in your Emailit account.

Generating a New API Key

  1. Open EmailIt, then choose API Keys in the left-hand menu.

  1. Click Add API Key.
  2. In the dialog, select Full Access as the Scope.
    “Sending Only” scope will not work as Gravity SMTP uses the “audiences” endpoint for API key validation.

  1. Give the key a clear description.
  2. Click Add. EmailIt immediately shows the API Key string. Copy it now since it will only be displayed once.
