About Experimental Features
Occasional with releases of Gravity SMTP, we may introduce experimental features. These are marked clearly in the Settings UI and will be turned off by default. This classification allows us to explore new or innovative capabilities and gather customer feedback quicker than with a separate beta release or putting the feature behind a filter. The aim is always to gather valuable feedback from real-world use as to how the feature might be adopted or need to evolve.
Experimental features may lack a polished UI. They will probably change over time (but we cannot predict how long that may take). They may graduate to becoming full features or they may even be removed (though we understand this is the least appealing option). By making these features available, we want to refine them collaboratively with our users and try to ensure they can meet their practical needs and align with their expectations.
We consider experimental features release-ready, though they may not yet have the same level of features or polish as you might normally expect. We recommend using them with an awareness of their evolving nature. Sandbox and test; keep an eye out for updates; and provide feedback whenever possible.
How to provide feedback on Experimental Features
If you run into an issue, contact us via our Gravity Forms Support form and state clearly the feature you are using and the issue you encountered.
If you have come up with a great way to extend or improve the feature, submit your idea on our Product Roadmap. This article contains information about submitting feature ideas.
